Job Description:

SugarBud Craft Growers Corp. (“SugarBud”) is an emerging, Alberta-based publicly traded cannabis company focused on growing hand crafted, select batch, ultra premium bud. SugarBud’s team is comprised of professionals with a strong mix of cannabis, oil and gas, start-up, transaction, business and regulatory experience.

SugarBud is building a 29,800 square-foot aeroponic cannabis cultivation facility located at Stavely, Alberta. Phase 1 of the Stavely facility is expected to have a production capacity of approximately 8,000 kgs of dried cannabis flower per year, with phase 2 increasing productive capability to approximately 20,000 kgs of dried cannabis flower per year. 

The Cultivation Assistant role at SugarBud Craft Growers is to be responsible for the approval and quality of Cannabis throughout the growth and harvesting stages before sale. This role will work closely with the Master Cultivator for the Stavely site and assist in maintaining high quality growth strategies, design and optimization, including strain development and commercial cloning practices. 

Duties & Responsibilities
• Knowledge of cannabis plants, grow methodologies and plant growth stages.
• Assist with activities in respect to cannabis (seeds, plants, and clones).
• Assist with production scheduling including: pre-operation environment assessments, cloning, 
plant training, pruning, topping, flower maturation assessments, harvesting, integrated pest 
management, plant material destruction, production corrective and preventative actions.
• Assist in monitoring and modifying production inventory requirements. 
• Assist in production sanitization program.
• Willing to take on duties as required and multitask shifting priorities.
• Document all work as per standard operating procedures and goods documentation practices
• Re-stock tools and materials as needed.
• Ensure growth specifications are acceptable by meeting or exceeded the company's goals and 
objectives.
• Coordinate daily activities to determine opportunities for improvement in productivity, 
efficiency and quality.
• Complete all training and safety requirements.
• Work as a team player.
• Must carry and use personal swipe card and personal code to access secured areas.

Qualifications:
• Must be familiar with the provisions of the Cannabis Regulations and the Food and Drugs Act.
• Must have read and be familiar with “SugarBud Craft Growers” company policies and 
procedures.
• The Cannabis Regulations requires candidates to undergo security clearance and the 
individual must be approved by Health Canada as suitable for the Cultivation Assistant role. 
All qualification documents will be required to be submitted upon request.
• Attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Previous greenhouse/growing experience preferred unless candidate has an 
Agriculture/Horticulture Degree.
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and intuition.
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Pesticide Licence considered an asset.
• Knowledge with climate control systems such as Argus considered an asset.
• Must be willing to relocate or commute to Stavely, Alberta

Working Conditions
• Where possible, be available via telephone after hours in the event of an emergency related 
to the production systems at the facility.

Physical Requirements
• This role will include some lifting of up to 50 lbs and working at heights (over 20 feet).

Job Description:

Working as part of a team you will be caring for both residential and commercial properties (including wineries and resorts) in beautiful Osoyoos, BC. You will provide a wide range of landscaping services, including property maintenance, fencing installation, and assisting with irrigation. Successful candidates will be physically fit and be able to work outdoors in all sorts of weather. Our company is growing and evolving and we are looking for both assistants and managers for this upcoming season and for the future.

Examples of the type of tasks involved with both positions:
1) Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls.

2) Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.

3) Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers.

4) Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.

5) Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage.

6) Gather and remove litter.

7) Haul or spread topsoil, and spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place.

8) Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring.

9) Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.

10) Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.

11) Trim and pick flowers, and clean flower beds.

12) Advise customers on plant selection and care.

13) Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, and/or playground equipment.

14) Maintain and repair structures such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, and benches, using hand and power tools.

15) Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, and other grounds features.

16) Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.

17) Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes.
