Location
Tim Horton Children’s Ranch (THCR) is spread out over 150 acres in beautiful Kananaskis Country. Located a 1 hour drive west of Calgary, Kananaskis is surrounded by popular tourist communities including Banff and Lake Louise. THCR offers a panoramic view of the Canadian Rockies and glacier-fed waters.

What would you be doing?
• Planning, implementation and delivery of an introductory riding program, which includes arena instruction and an overnight component
• Ensure Horse Program areas, equipment and supplies are in good repair, are kept clean and organized and are available for use in adequate supply
• Support the Program Managers with recruitment, training, and performance feedback as needed
• Identify, assess, and appropriately manage risks and on-site crises in line with THCF’s risk management standards
• Model healthy choices and emotional maturity
• Work with all Camp Coordinators to ensure success of Camp Programming.
• Fulfill the role of absent Horse Program staff
• Check trail status regularly, facilitate any necessary changes to the program as directed by the Program Manager or Horse Manager
• Build and sustain relationships with aligned community partners

Does this sound like you?
• Post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent experience
• Training and experience in western style riding in an arena and on the trail
• Experience teaching novice western riding skills in an arena and on the trail
• Ability to catch, lead, groom, tack and handle and care for horses without assistance
• Experience with risk assessments and crisis management
• Ability to use strong judgement and make decisions in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated experience with coaching and mentoring others, experience as a Program Supervisor in a residential camp setting an asset
• Experienced at facilitating outdoor excursions for groups of diverse youth within a camp or outdoor recreation/education environment
• Ability to spend extended periods of time at camp and work flexible hours
• Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification or the willingness / ability to obtain the WFR certification
• Legally able to work in Canada
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract.

Job Description:

Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to fill a Facility Rentals Coordinator position up to 23 hours per week with a flexible schedule. You must be available weekends and evenings.

This position will oversee all aspects of our exciting and growing Facility Rentals Program. Rutherford House provides a beautiful and elegant space for a wide variety of small, intimate rental opportunities, including photography bookings, civil ceremonies, receptions, weddings, birthday parties, book launches, and more. 

Tasks and responsibilities will include organizing and arranging bookings, marketing and promotions, customer service and outreach, event set-up and takedown, writing post-event reports and historical interpretation.

As the Facility Rentals Coordinator you will provide excellent front line customer service, working with a wide variety of clients with a wide range of interests and needs, exploring ways to creatively provide them with the best possible experience in this unique historical landmark.

Working independently, though within a team environment, you will have an opportunity to learn about and share with our visitors a fascinating part of our province’s history, and to engage them in building an appreciation of, and connection with, those stories as they inhabit and enjoy Rutherford House. You will work with both Rutherford House interpretive staff and Vintage Fork at Rutherford House restaurant staff in order to deliver superior quality events.

This job will allow you to develop a wide variety of skills including event production and management, customer service, program development, and interpretation techniques. 

About Us
Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site was the home of the first Premier of Alberta, Alexander Cameron Rutherford. In 1911, A.C. Rutherford, his wife Mattie and their family moved into this beautiful brick mansion near the university campus. The family entertained friends, relatives and influential Edmontonians for more than a generation. Today, this restored and furnished Edwardian-era house museum maintains the Rutherford tradition of hospitality and offers visitors a glimpse into the past with costumed interpreters, guided tours and special events.

Qualifications
Post–secondary education and or/experience in the following fields is desirable: Event Management, Marketing and/ or Recreation Administration, Customer Experience. Job Description:

Battle Mountain Equine Enterprises Inc. in Clearwater BC, Wells Gray Park is looking for a full time wrangler for the summer months of July, August 2019 (part time June and September - if one is willing to do other odd jobs around the farm – full time as well).

We take out between 1500 and 1800 guests every summer on horseback trail rides. Most guests are tourists from Europe with all kinds of skill levels. Our main rides are 2 and 3 hour rides into Wells Gray Park, but we also do day rides and occasionally overnight trips. 
As a wrangler you should have the following skill set:
Horse knowledge: at least 5 years of experience with horses. Confidence with handling and riding horses. Training skills are preferable. Knowledge of use of tack, etc.
Minimum age: 18
People skills: the person should have a respectful and confident way in communicating with people, good conversation skills, happy and open character
Overall skills: respectful, honest and trustworthy, ability to grasp work processes and step in when needed, willingness to work physically, common sense, good work ethics, some computer skills in order to work booking and payment system. 
Accommodation can be provided. Wage will be negotiated with each person.

Summary:
The housekeeping room associate’s main objective is to provide for the comfort of Watermark Beach Resort’s guests by ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented. Housekeeping room attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.

Responsibilities: 
• Stock and sort supplies
• Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest rooms
• Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
• Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets) as required
• Deep cleaning as required throughout year

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
• A secondary school diploma is preferred
• Physical mobility and stamina required – pushing, pulling, lifting, bending,

Qualifications:

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
