Description:

The Sausage Kitchen Manger’s position includes creating new and maintaining high-quality processed meat products. This is to be done through operating, troubleshooting and adjusting equipment, contributing to product research and development, assuring the quality of products and managing employees through the process. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of basic meat science and the value-added meat process.

Responsibilities
• Supervision of processed product production including:
o Monitoring temperature of the products in controlled stages of production, grinding, mixing, stuffing, hanging, smoking and cooling of products. 
• Development of new products from recipe creation to manufacturing procedures. 
• Improvement of current product line adding value such as shelf life, product yields, taste and appearance.

o Communication – Instructing employees in a clear manner
• Product Development
o Knowledge of raw material, production processes, quality control and costs.
o Understanding of meat science
• Administration
o Coordinating people and resources in a strategic manner to achieve production goals. 
o Multi-Task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment. 

Skills and Qualifications
• Meat science or food science degree beneficial
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of meat processing techniques and machinery

Working Details
• Monday to Friday
• Working in 1- 4 degree conditions
